v modern technology has brought states and their population into
closer and more frequent contact with each other and rules have evolved to
regulate such contact. Sooo, I think it’s the reason, why international law
more increasing and so important in the world.1
v international law was conceived and born out such a need and thus
is designed to promote international peace and harmonization.4
v International law is no longer the preserve of some 50 states, but
rather some 150 states; its no longer an exclusive western club.5
v International law today is not confined to regulating the relations
between states. The scope of international law continues to extend and is no
longer exclusively concerned with the
rules of warfare and diplomatic relations. 31
v A treaty is in its nature a contract between two nations, not a
legislative act. It does not generally effect of itself, the object to be
accomplished, especially so far as its operation is intraterritorial; but is
carried into execution by the sovereign power of the respective parties to the
instrument. 43
v Treaty is the generic term used to embrace convention, agreement,
arrangement, protocol, and exchange of notes.
