A womens mahram is her husband or any male relative with women marriage is from the beginning and permanently prohibited (haraam). Such permanent mahareem or muharramah (plural of mahram) are:

·         Father

·         Son

·         Brother

·         Brotrer’s son

·         Sister’s son

·         Grandfather

·         Grandson

·         Paternal uncle

·         Maternal uncle

·         The coresponding female relatives are man’s mahareem.

Ya bani adama qad anzalna alaikum libasayyuwari sau atikum wa rishaa wa libasu tteqwa zalika khoir (al-a’raf 7:26)

O children of adam!!! We have given you clothes to cover your shame and to beautivy you, but the best clothes are those that allow you to be pious and prevent you from evil.
